View Article  JUNE WRAP UP, LOOKING TO JULY

HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE JULY 4TH!

June turned out to be a real blessing. We experienced a reunion with many old friends by returning to precvious bookings. The one exception was Fellowship Baptist. Orlando. It was our first time there and an enjoyable one. Thanks to all the folks at FBC for making us feel so welcome.

Then we headed to Cocoa, FL and rejoined with dear friends at
Clearlake Baptist. And church, did we have! Folks a shoutin' and praising God is what fuels us to "give it all". That we did. It was a wonderful time. We love CBC's pastor, Rev. Richard Miller and all the family on Minnie st.

Last Sunday, we returned to Southside Baptist in Orlando for a 5th Sunday singing and dinner on the grounds. Once again we sang to an enthusiastic crowd who rsponded in praise and worship. Then a feast for kings! Thanks to Pastor Jerry Glkaze and SBC.

Last Sunday evening was no exception. From the very onset, people were shouting and you could feel the spirit. Every song was followed by a full house of applause and praise. Naturally when Randy gave an invitation, the alters were full. Pastor Larry Proffit and the good folks know how to have church. All in all, a great day singing for the Lord. Several friends turned out and the church was packed. We were happy to see Dallas and Sharon Childers who came. Sharon is the outstanding vocalist for The Pickerings. Also Dave Holder, bass extraordinaire for The Floridians came to see us.

We wish to thank our dear friend George Shelton, tenor for the Floridians, filling in. A former member of HOH, he and wife Gail are very special to us. George is a remakable talent and the people loved him. We do to!

This month, we return  to Georgia to the Gospel Barn. This is a wonderful ministry sitting  on a 200 acre plantation, located outside of Andersonville, inside a completely restored barn built in early 1700's. visit www.sweetwatergospelbarn.com. We will also appear in Brunswick, Waycross and Americus.

Check out the schedule.

We are still searching for a tenor. We hope we can announce our new member very soon. Please continue to pray for this quartet.

Our single has made the charts!

We are thrilled to hear from our radio promoter to know that GMP Magazine, a leading publication for gospel music, has included the song, Lay Of The Land in the June charts. Its debut is #55. Thanks to all who have requested this wondeful song penned by Big Mo Ostrander.

Can you believe that the year is nearly half over...or half begun? Whatever the matter, its moving fast.

HoH has taken the time to get some much needed repairs to the motor home and Randy has been putting in much overtime prior to the weekend launch. Ryan has been busy working on our web and especially getting the my space edition up to date. I have been busy on the phone, speaking to many who are trying to assist us in finding a new tenor.

We are still searching for a new tenor. We knew it would be a difficult task from the beginning. But the Lord has never failed us. If you know of someone who might be interested, you can help us by letting them know, or contacting us. We are looking for a male tenor to sing the high harmony. He should reside in the greater Central Florida area, and be willing to sing 4-6 times per month. We prefer expereince but will consider the right individual who can do the job. It is our prayer that the one whom the Lord sends was looking for us. contact Dee at 321 543 0815.

Our single, Lay Of The Land, has been receiving solid airplay. Frank Winstead, our radio promoter has rteported that several stations even listed the song in their top twenty. You can request the song at your local station, and better yet, you can listen to the clip in our product store, where you can also purchase a copy of the new recording.

Happy Fathers Day to our the Dads.

I'm glad this week is over with.  Monday I had a meeting with Randy and Dee and during the meeting I was advised that we were evacuated from our house.  My wife works at West Side Elementary that's next to Bayside High and they were evacuated that day as well.  We would not return to our home before Wednesday.  Thankfully we were able to stay with my grandparents in Fellsmere for the time period.  Just down the street from our house the fires tore through the area and we are just now to the point where there's not smoke blanketing our yard in the morning.  Please pray for all of the people who lost their homes during these horrible fires.  Also pray for HoH as we go through changes in our group we are all working to ensure that our sound is the sound that God wants for us and not what we want.  We have important decisions to make that will affect the group and our sound but we know with Gods help we will come out of this better than ever.  We are excited about things to come and the direction that God is taking us with this new endeavor.

Have a Great Week,

View Article  A Great Time in Georgia
Hey everybody,
What a great time we had last weekend in Georgia.  We didn't have the motor home so we had to rent a minivan and we also had Katrina fill in with us so it was just like old times.  Saturday night we were with Brother McCall and his brother at South Side Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Smith what a great time that was.  We could feel the spirit as soon as we walked in to the church.  The concert was a great time and we got to meet a lot of great people.  My dad was actually doing a wedding in Jacksonville, FL so he came over to the church from there so we were able to spend some time with him after the concert.  Sunday we went to one of our favorite churches to go to in Georgia, Burnt Fort Baptist with Pastor Tommy Sikes.  We love going to see Pastor Sikes and his congregation and HoH always has a great time when we go there.  I've had the pleasure of going to Burnt Fort Baptist twice now and I've enjoyed the company and the spirit every time we've gone.  I always enjoy going to Georgia because I know I'm going to get two things, good sweet tea and some good boiled peanuts this is the first time I haven't become sick from eating too many boiled peanuts so it was quite an accomplishment for me on this trip.  On a different note I'm happy to say that my winter term of college is over and I made out with an A, and a B in my psychology classes so I'm pretty happy about that.  I do ask on a more serious note that you pray for the Hearts of Harmony as we go through this time of change right now in our ministry.
View Article  WE SAY GOODBYE TO TAMMY AND CURTIS

Tammy and Curtis Sumner has decided to pursue their current ministry, Faithful Crossing. HoH thanks the Sumner family for their contribution, filling in this past month, We wish them the very best in thier ministry.

But now we are faced once again with the search for a new member. The quartet has decided to narrow this search for a male tenor and will return once again to an all male quartet.

There will be no misunderstanding as to whom we are seeking. The male tenor we are asking God for, will be a borned again Christian who feels the calling on his life, to sing for Christ. We prefer one who is experienced but will consider someone who foremost, has the ability to sing high, who can harmonize and...has a heart for ministry and loves the people. If you do not have all of these characters then you need not apply.

We prefer him to reside within Central Florida and is willing to commute to practices when necessary. We offer an expense package to offset the cost of traveling to and from, and also food and lodging.

It is the desire of the Hearts of Harmony that this individual has already been praying for God's direction, just as we are. Therefore when we meet you there will be a spirit within us confirming God's plan for His ministry. all who are interest, or if you know of someone who is, call Dee anytime at 321-543-0815.

We have marked off the remaider of May and wish to find someone who can begin no later than June 1st.

To our many friends, we sincerely ask for your prayers. We are at a critical time in our progress. We understand that God supplies all needs, but not without the seeking, knocking and asking. We need to only inform you that finding someone for such a ministry is never easy. Help us if you can.

If you belong to our mailing list, be expecting a letter very soon. If you wish to join the mailing list you may do so from the top of the home page.

View Article  Mikayla Makes her concert debut
Hey everyone,
I haven't been on in a while so I figured I would just tell you guys a little bit about what is going on.  I went to my parents house a couple of weeks ago and while I was there I sang for the church just a couple of songs during the Sunday morning service before I went home.  While in the middle of my first song, Mikayla decided to make her way up to the stage and wait for me to pick her up.  During the turn around in the middle of the song I got her and held her for a while and during the middle of the song she began to sing out herself not that anyone could understand it but she was singing loud and proud.  It won't be much longer before she's up on stage singing Jesus Loves Me and the B I B L E I'm sure and that will be fine with me.  This weekend is the first weekend singing with Tammi and Curtis.  I want to take this chance and clear up any misunderstanding regarding the status of Curtis and Tammi, they have agreed to come on as a temporary basis to start off.  Since they also have their own group, they are not sure what way the Lord is leading them and we all agreed we would cross whatever bridge that happens to be when it is placed in front of us but until then, we will just enjoy the trip and the company of each other and whatever the Lord decides to put us in, we will all be willing to go that direction.  I hope all of you can come out this Saturday or Sunday and meet Tammi and Curtis and let us know what you think of the new group mix.

In Christ,
Ryan
View Article  YouTube and Gospel Hand In Hand
Hey everybody,
I hope you're all having a good weekend. I got to spend some time with my family today.  We went out fishing out early this morning and caught some bass so it's been a good day. Happy Easter to everyone I'm sure you'll all be spending time with your families tomorrow and eating to much and hunting eggs with little ones.  I just wanted to give all of you non surfers of the web a little bit of information to enjoy in your free time.  This past week I went on the Gold City website because Jonathan is leaving the group after over 10 years with them.  I looked at there videos and it took me to YouTube and I watched them perform with the Oak Ridge Boys and I figured that I would see what else was on there.  If you enjoy the old groups and I do mean older such as the Statesmen, The Blackwood Brothers, The Imperials, and so on this is the website for you.  I watched every bass video of the Chief and London that I could find which were over 40 videos of songs.  It's really neat for a gospel fan such as myself because it's on thing to listen to the Chief sing but to see him on the screen and be able to study his movements is unbelievable for me.  Obviously if singers that old are on there you can find your current favorite artists as well for me it's the Perrys I can't get enough of watching Libby really get in to singing one of those hymns.  If you want a real shocker type in the Perrys and watch the clip where Randy Perry was still with them I had to look twice to make sure that was Tracy Stuffle singing the bass part he looks like he was only about 20 when that video was shot.  Anyways I thought this would be interesting to some of you that are kind of hesitant going on to these kind of sites.  Be sure to check your favorite artists to see if they video up there some of the videos are home videos and some are professional so the picture is not always the greatest thing in the world but it's still fun to watch.  I bet I've watched over 200 this week and I didn't even crack the surface of gospel videos on the website so there's plenty to enjoy.

Till Next Time Keep Your Faith Strong,
Ryan
View Article  Us Singers Need Singing To Too
Hey everyone,
It's been a great weekend.  I have spent the entire weekend with just Mikayla and myself.  Saturday night I went down the Fellsmere to see The Dixie Echoes along with my wife Michelle, and Mikayla and we all had a good time.  My wife has been working hard getting her paper done so she can turn it in at the end of the month.  I am glad to be able to spend some time at home with my family and I'm excited to get everything going and hopefully get our group reorganized and start back on the road.  I am looking forward to going on vacation in the upcoming months we are going to be heading off to Marco Island for a week with Michelle's parents and her sister and brother-in-law and our niece Madison.  I just hope that Michelle stays away from the beach because we don't like that side of her.  But before that we have some singing to do and I'm just as excited about that maybe even a little more.  I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that said a prayer for me when I lost my job in the past months.  Just a little story for those of you that did that shows the power of prayer.  Obviously I got a job but what happened in the middle was what was great.  We had gotten my last check from my past company and we were coming to what would have been my paycheck but I didn't have one.  I told my family to pray for us that we would be able to make it through the next week since we had no income coming in for a couple of weeks.  The next day I think was Friday or Saturday and I went out to the mail box and in the mail was a check from my old company for around $900 for a past incentive that I had earned.  God answers prayers in his own way and in his own time and I tell you what sometimes it's hard to wait for Him but that's why they call it faith.  Keep Mikayla in your prayers she's not feeling well right now so needless to say she has been sleeping quite a bit.
View Article  DEE CELEBRATES TWENTY YEARS AS RADIO HOST

Tonight (Thursday) I broadcasted my weekly radio show, Dee Cooper & Friends Gospel Show as we are celebrating my twentieth year as host. It s been fun going back through old tape recordings, listening to great songs of yester-year, and listening to the many interviews i have had the privilege to doing over these great years. Many guests are heroes of mine, many have become good friends and some have gone on to glory. Each one has a special place in my heart.

Tonight I played a clip from February 1990. After spinning a few old 45s (with a little pop), and listening to some old Cathedral tunes, I took time to share an interview with the listeners of my all-time hero. It was my Grandfather, M. F. Breedlove. The evening interview was intended to recognize (Pop's) 67th wedding anniversary, on the following day.
"Pop" Breedlove was the Patriarch of a large family, in whom he had the utmost respect. His legacy was a hard working man with a forth grade education, who left the company store in the depression and sold a cow and some chickens to start his own business of general merchandise in Lincoln County, WV. A self made millionaire, he was the true example of hard work and honesty. A God fearing, born again Christian who started several churches, including the one in which I was saved. He lived out his life in a modest two bedroom home and the only luxury he afforded himself was for my grandmother to drive around in a Cadillac. He had seventeen grandchildren of which i was the oldest grandson.

I have often said, when i was growing up in WV, i did not know that people had an option about going to church on Sunday and Wednesdays. I did not know that after Sunday church, that we did not have to go to our grandparents house for dinner and then all the families would sit out on the front porch and sing until it was time to go to evening service. That was just the way it was!

Tonight I am in awe to the heritage my grandfather left me.

He was the baritone for the Christian Four Quartet. He was the first gospel music hero of mine. He was the first I ever heard sing a four part harmony song. He was the first to take me to hear The Blackwood Brothers and many others. He was the greatest vocal coach anyone could ever have. His passion for the music was instilled in my heart at a young age. He was a teacher, a father, and a shepherd and best friend. My grandfather!

The interview ran for 14 minutes as we talked about his favorite quartet, The Rebels. How he loved the Booth brothers (Ronnie and Charles), and London Parris was his all time favorite bass singer. What a blessing it was growing up watching the entire gospel singing TV programs on Sunday mornings. And then at the ripe age of 89, he came on the radio program for the only time to say how he could not have had any life without Jesus, and the most precious gift he was ever given, his wife of 67 years. Pop passed away six months later, two days before his 90th birthday. I still miss him today. People say i act like him. Some who remember him think i sing like him. No greater compliment could I receive.
Tonight was a special night, as i celebrate twenty years of playing the greatest music in the world, the music that was introduced to me by my grandfather.

Dee hosts a weekly radio show each Thursday heard on several stations throughout central Florida.

View Article  Happy Birthday to Mikayla
Hey Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I've posted but I'll be able to write on a more regular basis.  God has been great to me and my family even though He has deffinently put us through some trials here lately.  After they new year came I got pulled in to the office and found out that I had lost my job but God had a plan in store.  I am now employed with a new company and it has allowed me to help Dee and Randy even more in the group.  This past weekend he had Mikayla's first birthday party and it was a great time.  We had all of our family and friends.  Some of Michelle's family from Maine came down to be with us. It was great to see everyone but you know the saying it was just as great to see them go (nothing personal).  Anyways Mikayla was covered in cake and got more all over Nana (Michelle's Mom) she had a black outfit on but by the time Mikayla got done with it, it was multi-colored.  It was sad to find out that Katrina was leaving the group but rest assured we are looking for someone to fill the spot and we are not taking it lightly, it's a big responsibility to go out and represent God and preach the gospel through song.  I'm looking forward to what God will be doing for the group we are still "Moving Forward" (see our product link for our new album).  Anyways I hope to see you all at our next concert in your area and keep watching the schedule page I am constantly getting emails from Dee giving me new dates to put up on the page.  Oh, and before I forget check back as pictures from Mikayla's birthday party will be coming shortly for all of you who would like to see them.  Oh, and I really did almost  forget  Mikayla gave Mommy and Daddy a present , she took her first steps this past weekend while we were setting in with our parents needless to say everyone was very excited and happy considering her feet were not right when she was born and the doctors told us she may have some difficulty in the start.  Click on the link if you can't see the picture of Mikayla's birthday party.

View Article  WE SAY, "SO LONG" TO KATRINA

Katrina has informed the quartet that she will be leaving us at the end of March. After a difficult time in prayer, she has decided to step down and pusue a position in music at her home church.

Katrina joined HoH in July of 2004. At that time, we were desperate for the Lord to send another male tenor. It only took a moment (after we hear her sing) to know that God had another plan. Katrina has captured the hearts of many gospel music fans across the US, and throughout the state of Florida. We will miss her, but support her always, in every endeavor. Visit back soon as we will honor her with a special tribute presentation on this site.

At this time, it is uncertain whether we pursue another alto singer, or a male tenor. We are waiting upon the Lord. We will knock, seek, and investigate every oppportunity set before us. We do know God has a plan. In eight years and like many part-time groups, we have endured changes. Its a part of the journey. During this time, each member will once again, be strenghtened through this time of need. We will continue to learn to lean upon the Lord.

Katrina recorded three albums with HoH, the last being our current release titled, Movin' Forward. We believe it to be her best work to date. " I will miss traveling and singing very much, she says, "but I feel this is the Lord's will for me at this time". Keep her in your prayers.

Check out the schedule to make plans to come and hear Katrina one more time.

At this time, we are seeking the possibility of either a fmale alto, or a male tenor. If you are such and have a desire to join a quartet, please contact us at once. You must be experienced, or at least able to harmonize. You must be a born again believer and bring a strong committment to the ministry. If interested, please contact the office at once. 321-543-0815.

all emails and words of encouragement for Katrina can be sent to Info@heartsofharmony.com and will be forwarded to her.

The nicest thing would be to Post A Comment below. Just click on the link and leave your comments. It's easy. They too will be forwarded.

Already with a bang, we have begun our Movin' Forward Tour. New Years eve at FBC of Fellsmere with friends, Forgiven from Lawrenceburg, IN. (near Cincinnati), and the 19th Annual Melbourne Gospel Jubilee, with Triumphant. Although the year is sure to bring many blessings, it has already touched our lives with tragedy.

Dee's brother Jay L. Cooper passed away Jan 11th, the same day that our dear friend Bill Long of the Floridians was hospitalized with Spinal Menangitis, and is in critical condition. We also heard the news that another longtime friend of the group, Earl Green of Mercy Mountain Boys, returned home to find his house had burnt to the ground, leaving very little in possessions.
We ask that you keep these dear friends in prayer. You can log on to their web site to leave words of encouragement. HoH also would ask that you join them in praying about sending donations on each behalf. When a need is greater that yours, God expects us to answer the call. Give and be blessed.

This writer wishes to express his family's gratitude and appreciation for the many prayers, cards, emails and letters in response to the loss of his brother. Dee has also been ill, having spent time in the hospital withpneumonia. He is doing much better. Thanks to Mark Hughes who recently filled in for Dee. How can we begin to thank everyone for such a great year for this ministry. God has been so good to each of us. To Him be the Glory!

Pictured above is the quartet joined with Ricky Atkinson, producer of our latest recording. Eleven great songs including a new power packed hit penned by Ricky himself.. Preorder you copy today by emailing us or calling the office.

I personally thank Him for His touch on my life. Many of you know of my battle with Leukemia and diabetes. Up until October,, i had never missed a date, and had not since the beginning of HoH. But finally my voice left me and God granted me three weeks of nothing but rest. My wife treated me like her little child...and I loved it!  At one time or another, each member endured sickness, work related, and family issues to stay on the road. We completed our busiest year to date. We traveled farther, sang more and saw many decisions made for the cause of Christ. We do not want to forget you... who supported us with your prayers and offerings. You gave us lodging when needed it. You provided meals and offered encouragement. We love each of you and look forward to seeing many of you this coming year.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, we were without the use of our motor home for the entire year. We did not know the blessing of having Ryan as an employee of Enterprise Leasing, and how good the company was to us. At times, we were also able to call on our dear friend, Hershel Goodman who offered his bus and even went with us as our driver. Thanks to Randy's mom, Parm for filling in, and also to Sheila Wright for keeping us on the road for eight months during Katrina's absence. And to our good friend George Shelton, for his willingness to step in on occassion. Thanks to God for His provision. We are pleased to announce we now our motor home once again, thanks to our dear friend and former member, Mark Godfrey.

Most of all, we want to thank our spouses and our families. Without their support it is impossible to fulfill our calling. We recognize their calling as well. We now are taking the remainder of the year off to enjoy the holidays with our precious ones. We will start up on New Years eve.

We are now accepting bookings for this coming year. Call our opffice today and make it happen that we are with you in 2008. 321-383-3323.

What a blessing to finish our new recording, Movin' Forward. Thanks to Ricky Atkinson for his faith in us and for his leadership in producing our best effort to date. Be watching for our new release sometime at the beginning of the year. We'll tell you more about this wonderful experience a little later.

Don't forget to take advantage of our "Gift of Harmony" package, by ppurchasing all four of our current CDs for just $25.00. See details on home page.

Many of you know that I am a huge collector/enthusiast of quartet music. Since I grew up in gospel music, I have alwsy had a soft spot for the great quartets of my time. No secret, I just turned 61, if you wish to know "my time". Gospel singers are my heroes, and many were even role models for me. I mention this because it will help in expressing the joy I had, sharing the stage with The Harvesters and The Southemen last week. Todays version of Harvesters are made up with most talented individuals such as Danny Parker and Alan Hunter and Tim Collins. This past weekend brought out former members DonNorman, Bill Hefner and Jack Clark, three of the original members of the group formed in 1953. To hear them was a moment of great memories. Then The Southmen, who still today is made up with great talent in Jim Hefner, Larry Back and Tim Riley. ( Ryan was in Bass Singer's heaven). Thanks to Danny and the gang for allowing HoH to be apart of a great evening, and expesciaaly, this ole baritone singer.

Sunday was also a special treat, as we sang at Gordon Heights Baptist in Concord. NC. Pastor Mike threadgill and folks made us feel so welcome. We had a "shoutin' time!

Be sure to check out some photos taken on the NC trip.

"Movin' Forward"

Since the very beginning of the formation of HoH, there  is a custom in which we enter the stage or pulpit, we stand back as the intro to our first song plays. Then, in unison, we all step forward to the mics. From our first meeting, it has been our prayer to have a ministry that will strive to move forward for the glory of God. Thus, it is only fitting that we call our upcoming recording project, "Movin' Forward"  It represents our desire, not only in progress, but in all that we do. Including our music. This recording is our biggest endeavor to date. We have actually been in planning for more than three years. Our commitment is to not only sing our best, but we hope to expand our musical abilities to a brader horizon. We have carefully and prayerfully selected songs that we feel, will touch many hearts. some of the best writers in the industry have penned some powerful songs for this recording. We have added a few great classics with excellent arrangements, thanks to the talent of Ricky Atkinson.

Randy and I traveled to Whitesburg, GA last week to meet with Ricky Atkinson and his team of musicians to produce our tracks for the upcoming recording project. It was our first time at Lamp Music Studios, and to meet prsident of Lamp Music Group, Mike Pillow and his wife Rhonda. We found them to be, not only talented, but wonderful Christians. Ricky had lined up  great musicians in, Brien Carter, (guitar) Tony Griffin (drums, harmonica) Andreww Ishee, (piano, organ) and Mike Pillow on bass. Ricky is brilliant when coming to charting and arranging the intros and turn arounds. Mike Pillow offered his talents also. The team of musicians were amazing. Just as important, was the atmosphere in which we worked. Overall, a great experience for Randy and myself. we cannnot wait until the final completion, as they were sent to Nashville for more overdubbing. thanks to Rhonda and Mike for great hospiltality and to Brien, Andrew, Tony, Mike and Ricky for their hard work. HoH will enter the studio November 3 and 4 to lay down the vocals. A release date is set for sometime near the first of the year. Be watching and visit often for more updates.

Well we head for Sanford NC this weekend to join our close friends, The Harvesters as they celebrate a reunion with several former members of this legendary quartet.

In addition is their longivity of traveling and singing the gospel, having been organized in the early 50's. Also appearing will be some former members featuring such greats as Jack Clark and Earl Brewer, Bill Hefner, Don Norman and many more. Also appearing is The Southmen, Boaz, AL. this legendary quartet features the likes of none other than Tim Riley, Buddy Burton, Jim Hefner and Larry Beck. If you are in the area, make way to the Dennis Wicker Auditorium for a 7pm concert. You may download a poster from our home page.

September is Here! Time for Barn Singing!

The Barn!

Last week we took a trip an area we had not been to in several years. Just west of Cordele, GA is Americus. Historically documented for civil war, to peanuts, cotton and plantations. Taking hwy 280 was such a beautiful drive. Acres and acres of Pecan Orchards and several golf courses had Randy and Ryan drooling. Then a fews miles north on hwy 49 toward Andersonville we find a sign that says "The Barn+, Hearts of Harmony in concert". Trough this white picket fence we drive upon this 200 acre plantation. We knew we were running a little late, but it was still an hour before concert began. But to our amazment, we see cars parked everywhere. We pulled to the back where there was a gentleman waiting, and when we stepped in we see a packed out barn! What an evening! We really had a super time and those folks love gospel music, or they were the biggest bunch of fakers we have ever sung to. ha Log on to

If you are in the area, its worth the trip. They bring the very best in southern gospel to the Barn. read all about how it came to pass and how they renovated this old landmark that was built in 1910.This week , while many fans are gathering for the 50th Annual NQC, we will be heading to Hinesville, GA. We will be joined by our good friends, The Southern Songboys, for a concert at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Robert Long has become a great friend.

Randy Perry at FGMA

The FGMA was another super Labor Day weekeend full of music and great fellowship. It was so good to see many of our fellow singers and musicians that makes it an appointment to come to Wimauma each year. Olin Witt and the Accords returned from Nashville. Bill Long of the Floridians introduced new members and announced his time to slow down, after 55 years.

The Redeemed Trio from Georgia returned, as did many others. His Four Ministries was one of the groups returning,  who has been to all 18 events. Wade Shirah and The Royal City Ministries were great as the witness to all of the kids growing up. New City Trio made their first trip as did a few others. And of course, Randy Perry and wife, Mary was there. Those who attended the Saturday morning breakfast and Sunday morning worship knows that The Lord showed up too! We were overjoyed to hear so many who came by the table and expressed their joy for seeing Katrina return, and also the many who fell in love with Ryan and his low bass singing. You should make plans to be there for next Labor Day.

View Article  Returning from Georgia-Gettin Ready for August

When HoH makes return engagements, its always a thrill. We get a special feeling when we are invited to come back. It means someone liked our music, or more important perhaps they were touched by our miistry. This was the occassion this past week as we made our third trip to The Holland Music Place, located just outside of Baxley, Ga on Hwy 203. Mrs Freda Jones and her husband built their theater about ten years ago. Mr Jones went to be with the Lord five years ago but Ms Freda carries on. We have come to love those who attend, when we come. There are some photos posted from tis concert. It was also a pleasure to work with a fine group of young men from Hazelhurst, GA called Fire From The Heart. They're all firemen. One particular blessing came when their new bass singer gave his testimony how not long ago, they asked if he would fill in as bass until they found a permanent replacement. He complied but told the group the he wanted them to know he was not a Christian. The group replied they would leave that issue in God's hands. What a thril to know that only a week or so after he joined, while singing, conviction fell upon this man and he gave his heart to the Lord...and was saved there on stage.! Sometimes we just have to get out of God's way, and let Him work His power. This young quartet are winners of the Waycross all Night talent search. We had a great time. We also wish to thank Mrs Freda for allowing us to stay overnight at her lakeside cottage. You're a precious lady and dear friend.

Then HoH returned Sunday morning to another wonderful man of God we have come to love, Rev Robert Long, pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist, Hinesville, GA. We were honored to be invited to be apart of their Homecoming Celebration. Not only to sing, but hear the preaching of Brother Long and later, the reknowned, Dr Hugh Harris, retired president of the MBC college in Lakeland, FL. And...what a feast those ladies from South Georgia prepared!

We then made our way to Folkston, GA, to once again be with Pastor Tommy Sikes and congregation at Burnt Fort Baptist Church of White Oak. It was our third time there and they also, make us feel like family.Three wonderful services!

Our thanks to Randy's mother "Parm" whom many know as the alto for Trust Qt, for filling in since Katrina was unable to make the trip. In just two practices she did an outstanding job. Many came to us to express their joy and satisfaction in Parm's singing. We also wish to thank Hershel Goodman for once gain offering his bus as transportation, and serving as our bus driver. God has sent good freinds our way and always supplies the needs.

July 29 will find us at FBC of ScottsmoorFl this week for a return (third) 3's a charm always sic. We look forward to being with all the good folks at FBC.

August is also going to be a busy time for HoH. As a matter of fact, it will be one of the busiest times ever, in any month as we join our friends The Floridians in concert to promote the upcoming FGMA convention to be held over the Labor Day weeeknd. (www.FGMA.org) Its scheduled for Clearlake Baptist church in Cocoa. Check our schedule for the other times and locations during August.

At this time we are still planning to head into the studio to begin work on our tracks, sometime in mid August, with Ricky Atkinson as our producer.

We are in great need of prayer! We sincerely ask that you pray for us. God knows the needs. Some we have shared with you such as transportation. At this time, there are other urgent matters and important decisions to be made. We are a tight group, who loves each other dearly. Please remember HoH when you pray, that God will direct, and His will be done. Perhaps we can share a testimony in the near future, regarding these matters. We know He never fails, and our trust is in Him.

Your comments are a blessing! Below you can click on to the comment link and share your thoughts with us. Please take a momoent.

Hope to see many of you at a concert very soon!

Can You believe Labor Day is just around the corner. It is and we are already, "gettin' ready"!.

We begin on August 5th for a Satuday evening concert with The Floridians. It will be a grand time as we will re unite with dear friends and former members, George Shelton (Jr) and Dave Holder, who now sing with The Floridians. You must hear this version of this popular quartet, filling out with Bill and Joey Long. It takes place at The Clearlake Baptist Church, Cocoa, FL, starting at 7pm.

You may attend that night and possibly win a trip to Wimauma, FL for the Labor Day event. More details can be found by visiting www.FGMA.org.

HEADIN' TO GEORGIA

Thiw weekend, we head to Baxley, GA to the Holland Music Place. Mrs Freda Jones brings in fine groups monthly for an evening of gospel music a great food. If you reside nearby, please come and join us. We will also be in Hinesville and Folkston. Check out the schedule for time and places.

What a time we had this past Sunday at The First COG, Eustis. Dee reacquainted with his pastor of 45yrs ago. Rev and Mrs Ron Holder were gracious hosts and we had such an awesome time. It was nice to have Roy Pauley and his wife, Amy attend, as well as old friend Rich Haines. HoH tried to hire this talented tenor a few years back, but God had other plans for Rich such as a new bride and a solo ministry. It was good to see him, meet his wife and some friends he brought along. The concert was mixed with tears and laughter, and all seem to enjoy our presentation of old campmeeting style songs. Some found the lost art of "shouting"!

RECORDING PLANS ARE SET

HoH has decided to record their next project at The Upper Room Studio, in Fitzgerald, GA. Ricky Atkinson will serve as producer. We are working hard to select the songs, and plans are to produce the tracks in mid August. Please remember us in your prayers at this time. Well....anytime! sic

View Article  NORTH FLORIDA BROUGHT OUT FAMILY

We enjoyed a special time at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Johns and church family for a Saturday night Concert. Rev Dave is Ryan's father. so...not only his mom, sister and family, but his grandparents, Rev & Mrs Buddy Johns from Fellsmere traveled to Lee, Florida. There were cousins and close friends. Why? you ask. Well i guess some wanted to hear Ryan sing, but we think it was for the grandchildren. Michelle came along and showed off Mikayla, while a birthday was in order for Ryan's three year old neice. all in all, we had a great time in concert and the fellowship. Several visitors from other churches came out and expressed interest for our returning, so we are in the process of working on a date to return to North Florida  very soon. Sunday morning found us at the historical, Concerd Baptist, founded in Madison an 1841. Be sure to check out a few photos we took for this special occassion and what an honor and privilege to sing for the fine folks at Concerd BC..

Our thanks to good friends Hershel and Patsy Goodman for coming along. Hershel drove the entire trip and Patsy was such a help with the camera. We had sucha good time in their company. Hershel provided his bus for the trip which was such a help. We are stil in the proces of seeking transportation for the quartet. Keep uas in your prayers. We thank God for good friends like Hershel and Patsy.

We are posting some new pics in the 2007 concert floder so take a moment to review.

As you may have noticed, we have entered into an agreement with Ricky Atkinson to produce our upcoming recording. ricky is such a good friend and most talented man of God. Are excited? oh yes.to say the least! HoH is now in the process of selecting songs. Keep HoH and Ricky in prayer. We will take the remainder of June off, as we are working hard in our selecting of songs for the new recording project, yet untitiled. We believe it is time to take our music to the next level as we make ready to launch several songs to radio, nationally. We will keep you posted as we endeavor.

Hello,

I hope everybody had a great holiday and enjoyed your day off from work as much as I did.  We were off the road this weekend so I got to spend some much needed time with my wife and daughter.  I am looking forward to joining my parents up in Madison Fl next week and seeing some of my family that I haven't seen for a while.  I hope if you are around that area you will come and join us for our concert either Sunday morning or Saturday night.  I know we will have a great time up there because God will be in our midst to bless every service.  Keep singing for the Lord.

In Christ,

Ryan Johns

Hello from the Johns house.  I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone down in Okeechobee for putting together two great concerts and I hope to see some of you at the church this weekend when we are back down there.  I always enjoy going down to south Florida it's always a great time.  Everyone in our house is doing good and my daughter Mikayla is keeping us busy so when I found the opportunity to say hello I figured I'd better jump on it.  I will hopefully see some of you this weekend and I'm looking forward to making new friends as well.  It's time for Mikayla to eat so I'd better get going.

IN CHRIST,

Ryan Johns

View Article  Okeechobee Welcomes HoH

This month finds us traveling to Okeechobee twice. Something of a rarity in this ministry, but a blessing just the same. This past weekend we re-visited the Okeechobee Health Rehabilitation Center to perform. The quartet has often made the statement that our ministry and our business is about people. Not just music or entertainemnt! It's why we look forward to such opportunities as this one. We set up in the cafateria, and we sang to the many inhabitants who reside there. Many were wheeled in, others were able to come without assistance. The room was packed and we sang the old classics as we love to do. We were intructed to sing for 45 minutes, however, when we stopped..they shouted out, "you're not through!" and after realizing how serious they were, we sang more...and then some more..... My Lord they would have kept us there all evening. What a blessing it was to us! Let me challenge our fellow artists to offer their ministry to such an occassion. One dear black gentleman came to the stage afterwards and began to sing an old spiritual...it touched my heart. Another, I observed in the very back sang on every song, obvious he knew the words. Later to find out he came from a singing family group. It was a double blessing when we found out how much they needed us...and how much we needed them!

Snday morning found us returning to one of our favorite stops, Northside Baptist. Pastor Alan Cook and the entire church family makes us feel so welcome. Several made the comment that we were one of their favorite groups and that always makes us feel good. There are still those who love the "old time gospel". Once again, our statement , " if the old songs had power to save grandma and grandpa, there is power in them to save gradnson and granddaughter." proved true as we witnessed a precious lady surrender her heart to Jesus, when the alter call was made. Not to mention the good fellowship we had afterwards.

Why not make plans to join us and the good folks at New Testament Baptist church later this month. We will be a part of their dedication to their brand new facility located on Hwy 70 East. Pastor Jim Gilbert welcomes everyone out for a day of celebration and great fellowship. We will perform in the afternoon as well. Check out the schedule for date and time.

View Article  A good time at Faith Baptist, Vero

We sang to a packed out sanctuary once again, at Faith Baptist in Vero Beach. Pastor Bert Wilson and folks have done a great job promoting southern gospel in their area. They have bought in many of today's finest groups. It was an honor or us to retrn. And a time we had! Best of all, was seeing three souls come to kow Jesus. The Lord has allowed us to see a harvest as late. Last Monday we erformed at the CITA MIssion in Melbourne. We sang and then Rev Donnie Legg gave a short sermon, and four young men made a profession of faith.

No matter how tough things seem to get, it all seems worht the effort when we see lost sould come to Christ.

In May we will spend a great deal of time in Okeechobee, FL. It has worked out that we will travel there on two seperate weekends. We will return to the Okeechobe health Care Facility, then to The Northside Baptist Church. Then later in the month, its back to help celebrate the didication of New Testament Baptist's new facility. Neqarly two years in construction, we have long waited for the time when pastor Jim Gilbert would give us the call. Then to Port St Lucie to the Lighhouse Baptist.

View Article  Katrina Marks Return We say "So Long" to Sheila

Our first weekend with the return of Katrina was exciting to say the least. We joined our close friends, Crystal River Trio, Melbourne at June Park Baptist, for a Saturday evening of gospel music. Although the crowd was small, The Lord made the difference and the spirit flowed. We had a great time. Katrina stepped right in , and with very little effort, never missed a note, knew the program and sang her heart out. We introduced our new recording for the first time and sang a few selections from it that was received very well. Crystal River is hosting monthly sings at June Park, so if you're in the Melbourne area, mark your calendars for the second Saturday of each month. I am sure the talent will be awesome everytime.

Sunday morning, Sheila Wright filled in for perhaps the last time for a while. We cannot express enough, our sincere appreciation for the services of this talented lady. Over the last six months, she has filled in graciously. Sheila is also featured on our latest recording. She will now focus more time to some solo work and working with Dee and church member, Randy Reynolds in their church trio. When we introduced her at The Way of Life Baptist Church for the last time, Randy presented her a bouquet of beautiful flowers in love and appreciation. we will miss Sheila.

Sunday evening Katrina returned, as we joined Pastor Sam Green and folks at Palm Bay Baptist for an evening with The mighty Kingsmen Quartet. HoH opend the program to a packed out sanctuary, and Dee was asked to introduce one of his favorite groups. Ray, Bryan, Jeremy and Pillip nearly lifted the roof off! Folks! The Kingsmen still got it!

HoH looks forward to Friday, April 20, as they head to Vero Beach  for a concert at Faith Baptist. Pastor Bert and Sallie Wilson has done a great job over the past years, bringing in the very best in Southern Gospel Music to Vero. We are honored to be invited once again. Its always great when our spouses join us in concerts. Sunday was attended by Wendy (Dee's) and Michelle (Ryan's). It was also the first time for Ryan's daughter, Mikayla to hear "Daddy" sing. Her grandmother came along to show her off. Cindy (Randy's) atteneded Saturday's but unable to make Sunday. Please keep her in prayer as she undergoes more tests this week.
